1 Year Anniversary

Tomorrow is our one year anniversary! Hard to believe that! I kept thinking about this Saturday last year all day thinking, right now we were getting our hair done...at the church...taking pictures, etc. What a great day and what a great husband! I have never been more grateful for my husband. He is awesome. Need to figure out a few other details in my life, but I am lucky to have him.

To many more great years :)

Hope you are all having great weekends,
xoxo,
Kelly

Great Days : )

Hello lovelies,
Half way there! Today was a BAD day. So on bad days I like to think about all of the good days that I have been so lucky to experience. There are so many that come to mind that I would love to re-live. Not to change, because I feel like good and bad days are all part of the journey, but just because they were such great days that you would love to be having a day like that on your trainwreck days.

So many good ones come to mind: wedding, family vacations, Italy, college...

What are some of your favorite days? Would love for you all to share : )

Support America and your Neighbors One Conscious Purchase at a Time

One Light Bulb at a Time

A physics teacher in high school, once told the students that while one grasshopper on the railroad tracks wouldn't slow a train very much, a billion of them would. With that thought in mind, read the following, obviously written by a good American ..

Good idea .. . . one light bulb at a time . . . ..

Check this out . I can verify this because I was in Lowes the other day for some reason and just for the heck of it I was looking at the hose attachments .. They were all made in China . The next day I was in Ace Hardware and just for the heck of it I checked the hose attachments there. They were made in USA . Start looking ...

In our current economic situation, every little thing we buy or do affects someone else - even their job ... So, after reading this email, I think this lady is on the right track . Let's get behind her!

Likes Hershey's candy ? I noticed, though, that it is marked made in Mexico now. I do not buy it any more.

My favorite toothpaste Colgate is made in Mexico .... now I have switched to Crest. You have to read the labels on everything ..

This past weekend I was at Kroger.. I needed 60 W light bulbsand Bounce dryer sheets . I was in the light bulb aisle, and right next to the GE brand I normally buy was an off-brand labeled, "Everyday Value. "I picked up both types of bulbs and compared the stats - they were the same except for the price ..
The GE bulbs were more money than the Everyday Value brand but the thing that surprised me the most was the fact that GE was made in MEXICO and the Everyday Value brand was made in - get ready for this - the USA in a company in Cleveland , Ohio .

So throw out the myth that you cannot find products you use every day that are made right here ..

So on to another aisle - Bounce Dryer Sheets .... yep, you guessed it, Bounce cost more money and is made in Canada .. The Everyday Value brand was less money and MADE IN THE USA! I did laundry yesterday and the dryer sheets performed just like the Bounce Free I have been using at almost half the price!

My challenge to you is to start reading the labels when you shop for everyday things and see what you can find that is made in the USA the job you save may be your own or your neighbors!

If you accept the challenge, pass this on to others in your address book so we can all start buying American, one light bulb at a time! Stop buying from overseas companies!

(We should have awakened a decade ago .. . .. . . . )

Let's get with the program and help our fellow Americans keep their jobs and create more jobs here in the USA.

Kelly

Beer Pong Table...check! Let the weekend begin : )

Hi loves!
I was a busy girl this weekend cleaning and organizing the house and painting this table to get ready for the festivities coming up this weekend. I am so pumped because a bunch of my favs are coming for a Drinking Olympics Pt. 2. And we won't even be freezing our a**es off like the January one!

Hope you are all having a great week :)

What did you do this weekend? Any great trips or anything?

Is this for real?!

We have done a couple of posts related to this and I still am shocked that people do this!!
I was reading through my latest Cosmo and I found a full page of va-jay-jay trends.

One was a V Accessory- For the fashionista vag there are Pantzies who call themselves the only superior designer pantie liner that comes in regular and hot pink leopard print, "so you can look and feel fabulous." Hmmm I dont think either of those would make me feel fabulous during my period.

There is also a temporary dye that "restores the pink to your cooch." I guess as you age the pink-ish color starts to fade. Do you really think a guy would notice if down there was a little less pink? I am pretty sure that is the last think on their mind.

Know anyone who has tried crazy things down there?!

New Ford Fusion!

We traded in Andrew's car yesterday because it still had a relatively high value for a car that is almost 5 years old. Also, he has been having some problems with the car that were totaling about $4,000 (yikes) which is about 1/4 of the trade in value. So we debated whether it would be good to sink that much money into a 4.5 year old car that would probably now continue to see more and more issues. Or do we take that high trade in value and apply it to a car with 0 miles, a 3 year warranty and great ratings. We calculated what we could afford and bargained until we got to that number.

We were still discussing, because it is always rough to go from no car payment to having one. The dealers were asking what would make a decision for us and we said Andrew going from 2 part time jobs to a stable full time job. They said they actually needed someone to detail and porter cars and asked if he could come in on Tuesday and take the drug test and start Wednesday or Thursday. He will now work at Ford 1-9 every Monday through Friday and then every other Saturday. We were shocked! We're they serious? He has always loved cars and this would be awesome.

We are still a little nervous because it just seems to good to be true. But they seemed very serious, he filled out all the paperwork and have him coming in at 9 on Tuesday. I am so bad at trusting people, so I will feel better once he goes in and actually gets going. Starting something new is always nerve wrecking, but I am very excited for this new opportunity for him!

Hope you are all having a great weekend!

GAGA fever!!!

I went to see lady gaga and I wish you could all go to the show. It was amazing. She not only sings but puts on a whole show with TONS of clothing changes as well as set changes. She lit her piano on fire, had a subway on her stage, had a car on her stage, climbed things, and even had part of the stage lift her up. A lot of people dressed up and it was crazy fun. If you ever have the chance go to a Gaga show!
