My Weekend Plans

Hello Lovelies!
This weekend I am headed off to St. Louis for a Partylite Convention. This is my first one. I just started selling it in Feb. to earn some great money and get some free stuff for our first house while my husband was out of a job. So I am interested in how it is going to go! Six of us are driving down there tomorrow, for a weekend of festivities. I am really excited to see the fall/winter decorations, as a newlywed I don't have much yet in that dept.

Hopefully we have a fun relaxing time and there is lots of cute stuff and an awesome location for the free trip this year! At least I already know I loved the two day work week!!! Wish me luck, lol.

If anyone needs to stock up on there candle supply or get some of the great clearance specials that are soon to retire, check out:
www.partylite.biz/kellydewald
Especially the internet specials section under shop is huge discounts right now.

Oh, and also Sara is on a 15 hour plane ride from San Fran to China right now, so hopefully she doesn't kill anyone! haha

Hope you all have a great week!!!

Summer Shows

Hello everyone!

I know many times the Summer is kind of a dud in terms of shows because it is kind of an off season for some of the bigger hits, so I was wondering if there are any great shows that we are missing?

These are a few that I have been watching...not deep and complex, but I have enough serious in my life and just want to be entertained...so don't judge ;)

Pretty Little Liars

I know, I know, I am not twelve...but the preview caught my attention and I kind of want to know what is going to happen!

Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami 2

It just kills me laughing at all of the crackbaby things they do ever week, ridic!!!

Teen Mom 2

The four ladies are back from the first season with just as much drama as ever. Interested to see what is up with them since last season...there lives are just so sad :(

So fill me in on what your summer fav's are and I will have to check them out!

Hope your weeks are going well. Almost there!

Sometimes I Wish To Be a Stay at Home Mom- Well...Minus the Child and the One Income...

I was just kidding about the Stay at Home Mom thing, I know you ladies work your butts off. And that is an eventual goal of mine once we decide to have children, but sometimes it looks so nice to look at the generation of stay at home Mom's whose kids are now in college and they get to volunteer, take care of their yards, make a meal with more then one course in it regularly, actually read a book that is not for a class/work, and even go on fun little day trips together. I am sure as with anything it has its downfalls (boredom, less money etc.), but it just looks so great! Or even the ones with younger children, I know there are really long hard days of sick kids, crying, diapers, etc. But there are also some great experiences that they get to have with their kids, like trips to the zoo, playgrounds, coloring etc. When you are having one h*ll of a day at work, coloring with a cute little kid sounds pretty great! I know, I know...grass is always greener...haha...just something I have been thinking about lately. Mabye for now I just need a vacay!

Hope you are all having a great week!

Kelly

ONE WEEK UNTIL I AM IN CHINA!

There is only one thing standing between me and my two week trip to China - a very long airline flight.

I am looking for some fabulous ideas of what to do/wear/ect in an airport and on the plane. It is a total of 24 hours I will be spending in airports or on the plane and I am afraid I might die of boredom. So if you have any ideas I would be forever grateful! The more unique the better.

Guilty Pleasures

These are the current shows I am obsessed with:

Last Chance Highway:

About the show:
The clock is ticking for millions of animals across the country. Shelters are over-crowded, many pet owners don't spay or neuter their animals, and there just aren't enough resources to go around. Still, thanks to some amazing people who have dedicated themselves to racing against that clock, animals are saved every day. Hundreds are rescued every week, even thousands a year, and most people don't even know it's happening.

This summer, Animal Planet will change that with Last Chance Highway, an eight-part series that focuses on the monumental mission of a dedicated handful of rescuers. The stakes are high for Shelly Bookwalter and Kyle Peterson and for the soon-to-be-euthanized dogs they are fighting to save.

Each week, they organize a band of volunteers to take part in a unique mobile adoption campaign. Shelly leads an effort to find homes for strays and unclaimed shelter dogs. And every week, Kyle and crew member, Lucas, climb aboard their big rig to transport more than 150 dogs thousands of miles to meet their new families. It's an exhausting ritual but one that finds homes for more than six thousand pets every year.

Obviously I love this show because its about saving dogs and this is pretty much my dream job!!

Big Brother

Every year I love it!!!

And then pretty much any show on BRAVO!!!!!!!!!!!!

Furry Fridays!

Meet Alessio

Name: Alessio
Age: Born May 22, 2010
Weight: 2 lbs
Favorite Things: Playing, exploring his surroundings, taking naps
Waiting for a home since July, 2010
About Alessio: Alessio's mom was rescued from a puppy mill already expecting puppies. She had 6 healthy puppies on May 23, 2010. They will be ready to go to their homes after July 18, 2010. They are all very playful, friendly and happy little guys. We estimate they will weigh between 8 - 12 pounds full grown.

Update:
I still have Dillan! We are trying to get him adopted before I leave for China so he doesn't have to keep moving! He is awesome! He spend all of his life trapped in a cage and he love's attention now. He is still shy around new people but has shown that at not even a week he has attached himself and allowed him to trust me! When he finds his forever home, they will be so lucky to have him.

Slower Traffic Move Right

This is a huge pet-peeve of mine. Drivers seem to just pick a lane and stay in it no matter how fast OR SLOW, they go. Logically it seems to me, if the far left lane is now a “Commuter Lane,” then the one next to it would now be considered the “Fast Lane/ or Passing Lane” during commute hours. Again, “SLOW VEHICLES should be on the far right!
Courtesy is two way. Suppose you just moved into the left lane to pass some slow vehicle in the right lane. Don't take all day to pass it while cars are accumulating behind you. If you only want to go 1 m.p.h. faster than that slow vehicle consider going 3 m.p.h. faster while you are doing the passing. You will only be going 2 m.p.h. faster than you want for a little while and you will be passing in 1/3 the time. Remember that milliseconds can add up to gridlock.

Realize that it is not your job to keep people from speeding.
Try not to let emotions control your driving behavior. Consider that the speeder is making the roads safer for the rest of us. What is the bigger risk while driving on the highway - wrecking or getting a speeding ticket? There are more speeding tickets than wrecks so our biggest worry should be avoiding a speeding ticket. By letting the speeder get ahead of you then that person will get the ticket and you won't.

Show courtesy to the guy behind you who wants to go faster.

Look to my left and I see the Hollywood Sign!

Friday: We arrived in L.A. at around 11 am and headed towards Santa
Monica for lunch. We found this really cute restaurant to eat outside
and on the menu we found "The Breakfast of Champions" that was a bottle
of Don Par ion and Chili dogs. So random! Sara's dream 1 night stand,
It was like $225!!! We walked around there for a little while and then
walked around Hollywood seeing the stars, hand and foot prints etc. Next
we headed up to the Griffith Observatory for a great view of the city
and the Hollywood sign. Thanks for the tip blog friends! For dinner we went to our new fav place, Uwink. Every table/Bar spot has interactive screens with pictures of everything on the menu and you order right off the screen. It was delish. Also
the screens can be used for games where you can just play with your
table or challenge the whole restaurant. It was so fun!

U Wink!!

What a view :)

The most famous person we saw...

Isn't this gas station crazy! You should see it at night, it changes all kinds of colors!

Saturday: We walked around the Venice Canals. That was so pretty and
we want to live there! Next was Venice Beach, where we met many
interesting people, but it was really fun. Love the ocean! We went to
another place with an outdoor lunch and the drinking began-unlimited
mimosas for $12!! We then drove up the cost to a wine tasting place
which was really fun. Next we went to a place in a hotel called the
Penthouse, which is kind of like the Signature Room in Chicago but not
as high, it was really cute in there and had a great view. We just had
coctails there. That night we went to Kelly's work and were so jealous.
They had a mini golf thing, a box of liquor and a beer fridge for if
they had a stressful call or meeting. We did a mini photo shoot there,
haha, so hopefully Kel still has a job today. Lol. That night we kind
of just had a chill night in and watched a movie and drank. And by
watching a moving and drinking we really mean Kelly fell asleep and Kel
and Sara watched the movie!

Venice Canals...Our future home...

Wine tasting

Kelly's work-Booze?!? Best work ever!

Sara on Kelly's crushes desk...hopefully she is still employed...

Sunday: Kelly and her friends are so planned out. We went to a parade
in the morning and then spent the day at the beach. One of her
coworkers literally lives on Santa Monica Beach (lucky beotch) and they
had set up a tent, had tons of food and games. Her apartment was
amazing, the rent was $4000 per month and the place behind her cost
$20,000 per month!! It was the perfect 4th of July. Sitting on the
beach, playing games with some cocktails and patriotic music! It was so
fun and a beautiful relaxing day. At night we saw the fireworks and
went to dinner on the pier. The only bad thing was the bartenders didn't
know how to make a correct bomb pop shot (layers of red, white and blue)
but the jagger bombs were awesome!

Loving America on Santa Monica Beach :)

Our new best friend Tilley!

Overall the weekend was amazing and we didn't want to come home!
