Furry Fridays

Meet Dillan (Japanese Chin)

Age: 18 months old
Weight: 12 lbs
Favorite Things: Exploring his surroundings, playing in the backyard
Waiting for his home since June, 2010
About Dillan: Dillan is a very fun little guy! He gets along great with other dogs and loves people. He was recently rescued from a puppy mill, and is enjoying life in a home. His favorite new thing is grassy backyards. He loves to run around the backyard to get you or his other small dog foster brothers to chase him.

As you all know I will be in California with Kelly for the long weekend. But when I return this is the new dog I will be fostering. I don't know much about him yet but am very excited to meet him and have another dog in my house. When we return we will post about our Cali trip and my new dog!

Have a fabulous 4th of July weekend!

xoxo

Furry Friday

Rosie
American Staffordshire Terrier, Shar Pei

Name: Rosie
Age: 7 months old
Weight: 40 lbs
Favorite Things: Cuddling!, playing with other dogs, licking peanut butter out of Kongs
Waiting for her home since: February, 2010

Rosie was rescued from a local pound shortly before she was scheduled to be euthanized. She has an incredibly sweet disposition and loves to cuddle. She is also really smart and has learned basic commands like sit, wait and down very quickly. She can be very energetic when it is play time outside, but also is great at snuggling up to watch a movie with her foster people. Rosie loves people and gets along with dogs that are her size or larger.

This picture does not do her justice. Rosie is beautiful, her coat has colors like you wouldn't believe to be on a dog. She is so sweet and very calm for her age. Loves to play with people and would like to be the center of attention if possible!!

Furry Friday

Thanks to Confessions of a Domestic Goddess - http://domesticgoddessconfession.blogspot.com/
Who has this fabulous idea that I am stealing! As most of you know, I foster dogs and I think everyone should adopt from a local shelter. My Italian Greyhound Steve was adopted last night and I am already missing him! He went to a fabulous home and I wish him the best of luck.

Dog of the week:

Name Mimi
Age: 11 months old
Weight: 6 lbs
Favorite Things: Cuddling with people!
Waiting for her home since: May, 2010

Mimi had a rough start to her life. She is a puppy mill survivor. Despite being mistreated and neglected at the puppy mill, she is a wonderful little girl that loves people. She also gets along very well with other small dogs. Mimi loves to cuddle! Mimi is a beautiful miniature dachshund.

I was able to meet Mimi last weekend and she is so sweet. She loves to cuddle and likes playing with other dogs even though she is tiny!

I'm so in love...

My foster dog:

I still have Steve, my Italian Grey Hound. He is awesome...
2 months ago he was afraid of EVERYTHING, I mean leaves, wind, noise, ect. But now he is great. He is only really afraid of new people. He is warming up to dogs and loves to wrestle and play. He is 95% potty trained which just shows how smart he is! He is a little diva and I love it. I keep contiplating adoption... I just don't think I can do the committment. Ask Kel, I fear committment! But he will make a great pet. They had some interested people but I didn't think they were quite right (and no I wasn't sabbatoging them haha) but we'll find his perfect forever home soon!
