About Vinnie: Vinnie was recently rescued from a local pound. He is adjusting to life in his foster home very well. He loves spending time with people, playing with toys and going for daily walks. He is a wonderful companion.



Tilly found her forever home! She was such a great dog and I miss her still!

Meet Sophie:

Name: Sophie (Mastiff, Presa Canario)
Age: 4 - 5 months old
Weight: 45 lbs
Favorite Things: Chicken!, exploring, swimming
Waiting for a home since: July, 2010
About Sophie: We don't know what happened to Sophie in the first few months of her life, but we found her at a local animal control, scared. We think that she was confined to a basement with little exposure to the world. She doesn't really show signs typical of abuse, but rather that she really wasn't exposed to much and doesn't know what to do. She is learning what the normal life of a dog entails, and it all started with chicken! Sophie loves chicken and is learning to like other treats & toys too. She now loves to wag her tail and check things out around her. We think that Sophie will be a great gal with a little love and patience. She needs to go to a home that is very committed to continued training and socialization with her.

Great news, Dillan and Alissio were both adopted into their forever homes!

Furry Fridays!

Meet Alessio


Name: Alessio
Age: Born May 22, 2010
Weight: 2 lbs
Favorite Things: Playing, exploring his surroundings, taking naps
Waiting for a home since July, 2010
About Alessio: Alessio's mom was rescued from a puppy mill already expecting puppies. She had 6 healthy puppies on May 23, 2010. They will be ready to go to their homes after July 18, 2010. They are all very playful, friendly and happy little guys. We estimate they will weigh between 8 - 12 pounds full grown.

Update:
I still have Dillan! We are trying to get him adopted before I leave for China so he doesn't have to keep moving! He is awesome! He spend all of his life trapped in a cage and he love's attention now. He is still shy around new people but has shown that at not even a week he has attached himself and allowed him to trust me! When he finds his forever home, they will be so lucky to have him.

Meet Dillan (Japanese Chin)


Age: 18 months old

Favorite Things: Exploring his surroundings, playing in the backyard
Waiting for his home since June, 2010
About Dillan: Dillan is a very fun little guy! He gets along great with other dogs and loves people. He was recently rescued from a puppy mill, and is enjoying life in a home. His favorite new thing is grassy backyards. He loves to run around the backyard to get you or his other small dog foster brothers to chase him.

As you all know I will be in California with Kelly for the long weekend. But when I return this is the new dog I will be fostering. I don't know much about him yet but am very excited to meet him and have another dog in my house. When we return we will post about our Cali trip and my new dog!

Pookie

Pookie's Story: Pookie was rescued from a local pound. Her and her siblings were found roaming the streets together. Pookie is a great little kitten. She is a little shy at first, but quickly warms up and then loves attention.
