Happy Easter Peeps :)

When taking a bite into a chocolate bunny, 76% of Americans prefer to bite off the ears first. 5% eat the feet first and 4% eat the tail first.

During the Easter season, Americans buy more than 700 million Peeps - making Peeps the most popular non-chocolate Easter candy.

Adults prefer milk chocolate (65%) over dark chocolate (27%). Not me :)

Each day throughout the year, 5 million marshmallow chicks and bunnies are produced in preparation for Easter. Holy Cow!!

16 billion jelly beans are made specifically for Easter which is enough to fill a plastic egg the size of a 9-story building.

In the old days pretzels were associated with Easter because the twists of the pretzel were thought to resemble arms crossing in prayer.

The exchange of eggs for Easter dates back to a springtime custom older than Easter itself in which eggs were given as a symbol of rebirth in many cultures.

The Easter egg roll on the White House lawn has been a tradition since 1878.

After Halloween, Easter is the biggest candy consuming holiday.

Hope you all have a blessed day with loved ones and take a little time to reflect on what Easter is really about :)

Extreme Couponing

What a dayyyyyy.

So lately I have been reading up on some serious couponing. I already got 4 body washes and all I had to pay was the tax! 21 cents for Nivea Body Wash! Not bad :) With people getting laid off and getting their pay cut any way to save money is good with me. Any one do this and have any great tips?

Can't wait for the weekend :)

Bacon Cologne?

Now I LOVE bacon, but really?

I guess I never realized people are obsessed with bacon. Here is the article:

Bacon is everywhere these days: Denny's has a bacon sundae, baby formula is coming out in bacon flavor, and the makers of Baconnaise are now selling inhalable Bacon-flavored air.

It was really only a matter of time before Bacon Cologne ($36) hit retail. Now you can smell like porcine skin peelings without the daily ritual of taking a straight razor to a hog's back and wrapping your quivering skin in a meat husk. It's available in two unisex varieties: Bacon Classic and Bacon Gold. Bacon Gold adds notes of citrus to the simmering pork drippings, while Bacon Classic is brimming with hints of spicy maple.

Fellas, I'm not sure what kind of ladies you could score with pork cologne, but ladies? Every eligible and ineligible bachelor in the vicinity will be beside himself with desire for you. It's a great story for the grandkids.

Is it Thursday Yet?!

Hi Ladies,
Does it feel like it should be Thursday today to anyone else ;)? Come on week speed up! I have been making a little progress on my eating healthy/trying to exercise deal I have been doing and have lost 6 lbs in the last few weeks (don't you just wish it would all just fall right off?!? haha). But no...progress is progress. Some days I do so great and sometimes you just have to have a couple glasses of red wine. Such is life.

I was watching Real HouseWives of Orange County Reunion this weekend and one of them said she was feeling dizzy and her husband told her to eat something. She replied that it was Summer, and he should know she doesn't eat during the Summer! OMG. I will never be one of thosssseee girls!

What are your biggest downfalls and what do you do to combat against them? I have been jogging in place while I watch tv, which seems to make it less painful to exercise (hubby thinks its amusing). Do you do anything like that?

St Patricks Day!

Alright, I didn't fall off the face of the Earth... I am back!!

St Patricks Day is one of my FAVORITE holidays out there.

I am a part of the St Patricks Association. We raise money every year by selling buttons to put on the parade in St. Paul. We volunteer at the Children's Hospital and visit several nursing homes singing Irish songs and spreading Irish cheer. Each year the Association invites Irish women 21-and-over to become Miss Shamrock Princesses. The princesses spend six weeks together selling buttons and spreading the Irish cheer. From these princesses the Association chooses the year's Miss Shamrock. The princesses and Miss Shamrock spend the remainder of the year visiting area parades and festivals as representatives of the association. We also have a Mr. Pat who is the king figure of the parade, Mr. Pat embodies the spirit of Saint Patrick's Day. Alongside Mr. Pat sits Miss Shamrock. She is chosen from a group secret judges and crowned the week before Saint Patrick's Day. Miss Shamrock is chosen based on her representation of the Association as a Miss Shamrock Princess.
Here we are with our "celebrity" Amelia Santaniello & Frank Vascellaro who are news hosts.

Our outfits:

Hope everyone had a great St Paddys Day
