Positive Steps...Not So Fun-But Hopefully Worth It!

So in attempt to get down to a weight that I am happier with I have been making some changes to my lifestyle. Dang-it, why is food soooo good! So I decided to cut out two of my favs:

I would love to come home after a day of work and just have a glass of red wine to relax, but it is just more calories added every day.

Also, I have cut wayyyyy back on my carbs :( Love them, but I think it will really help take off the lbs.

Now I think my next goals are working out more and giving up diet pop...didn't want to do it all at once because I want to stick with it. Anything you are doing right now that you think might work well?

Hope you all have a great weekend!!!
xoxo
Kelly

  1. one thing I have found is a bread called "deli flats" they are in your grocery store but the best deals are at a BJ's or Costco. They are 100 calories for both pieces! this way you don't have to cut carbs completely! I try and drink crystal light instead of diet soda as much as possible. You might be able to make some type of fake margarita tasting drink with crystal light?... hmmm i might look that up!

  2. Way to go Kelly, best of luck!! I try and do 6 small meals a day to keep my metabolism going and lots of fruits and veggies.

I too love carbs...especially being pregnant!!!

  3. How do I know you're from the midwest?

    diet pop :)

    lol! :) so cute!

I cut soda out of my diet two months ago and I haven't missed it at all. If I'm out and want something sweet, I"ll order a lemonade occasionally, but I have seen big-BIG changes just from giving up the soda!

  4. I'm with Brittany on this one - I drink zero pop (or soda... i use both words, haha!) Even the Diet Sodas cause water retention, which adds the extra puffiness and lbs. I drink nothing but water and occasionally, coffee - the flavored water works if i'm needing something sweet. I'm a carb addict, too - i switched it all over to whole grain at least. Good luck! :)

  5. Biggest thing is NO LIQUID CALORIES! I learned that one real quick. Diet whatever. And since I still feel like I need to be able to have SOMETHING, I didn't give up diet coke
