Downtown Chicago with the Family-Happy 21st Birthday Maggie!!!

My cousin has had a rough life, and this year has been one of the harder year's for her. Her Mom and Step-Dad have both been having some major health issues and it has been really hard for her because she lives here with her fiancee and they live in Michigan.

So we always try to make sure as a family that she knows how important she is and to make sure her birthday is a big deal.

Yesterday we went downtown Chicago and met at Navy Pier. Her Mom, who she hasn't seen for almost a year because of all the stuff going on surprised her and was there and she was so shocked and happy that she started crying which got us all going. I was so happy with everything going on that this could happen, because it was exactly what they both needed. The best b-day present she could ever get.

So then through out the day we walked around Navy Pier and Michigan Ave shopping and just checking everything out. For lunch we went to the Signature room, which is on the 96th floor of the Hancock building. It was amazing. I had never been there before, and LOVE it now. I had thought the prices were going to be crazy-out of this world expensive, but depending on what you get it is not bad at all. Definitely worth the price for the amazing view!!! I would recomend it to anyone as a must do in Chicago.

Hope you are all having a great weekend!

  3. Okay, I have so much to say.

first of all, thanks for coming over to my blog and I can tell you, from the looks of you girlies' blog, we are going to be fast friends! Your blog is faboosh! I am in love with your design! Did you girls do it yourself?

I like to reply back to all my commenters with an email, but I notice you girls have your no-reply comment set on your profile. It's totally cool if you girls don't want to post an email on your profile, but a lot of bloggers like to reply back to their comments and that's a great way to do it. If you do want to change it, you just edit it in your profile. If you don't want to change it, totally cool. I'll just chat with you this way.

And just so you know, I am a Chicago girl myself! I live in Florida now, but I was born there and lived a good part of my childhood in that great city. My 3 sisters all live up there and in fact, one of my sister's condos overlooks Navy Pier right there. Her view is phenomenal.

Okay, that's it. I'm going to go ramble around your fabulous blog now. Take care.
